Paintings and mixed media.
Semi-autobiographical and founded in notions of tracing patterns through life, images of women and men, animals and objects become stage players, dramatic personae, rendered in a post-modernist style.

Exploring themes around acting and role play and using notions of artifice, flirtation, indecision and illusion the work asks what is real and what is a figment of the imagination. Sweetness and pain sit side by side. The work engages some post-feminist ideas, such as how women and men manage to combine power and independence with femininity and nurturing. Love scenes are universally understood no matter what your orientation. The working methods include painting in oils and water colours and manipulating digital images.
